Portable electronic inflators
I've been seeing ads for a lot of these lately. They seem decent from the advertisement descriptions.
On the surface, they seem more environmentally friendly than Co2 cartidges and from what I've seen can inflate up to three tubless tires (and seat them as well) from fully flat.
Does anyone have any real life experience with these gadgets? And is there one you woudl recommend over another?
Thanks in advance!

Palisades Parks Conservancy & Cycling
I wanted to raise everyone's attention to a great nonprofit organization called the Palisades Parks Conservancy (PPC), where I was just made Board President. PPC is the nonprofit partner of the Palisades Interstate Parks Commission (PIPC), and the organization's role is to support 20 parks and 9 historic sites on the west side of the Hudson River. The parks include some of our cycling favorites -- Harriman State Park, Rockland Lake, Bear Mountain, Lake Minnewaska, River Road (which is actually named Palisades Interstate Park), Storm King, and more. I've always thought that, as a cyclist, PPC is the organization our community has always wanted but didn't know existed!
Is there an opthalmologist or optometrist in the club?

Bike Fit/Measurements
I'm finally pulling the trigger on a custom titanium bike. After a lot of research, I've decided to go with No. 22 - locally made and I really liked the access to the founders of the company during the research phase.
Central Park Loop Repaving starting week of 3/17
The drives will not close at any point during this construction, but the city says that bikers and pedestrians should use caution when moving along milled sections, which are bumpy, as they hav
River Rd. Open? Legally open? Completely ridable?
Only as I'm asking the Qs in the Subject name do I go farther here to state after using Michelin tubes for 30+ years...I'm done with 'em. I quit. HOLES in them, right out of the box!!!
Queens Blvd redesigned in 2024 - how is it now?
So how is it now? Is the stretch from the end of the F train back to your ride start at Civic Virtue (you know what I mean - the junction with Union Tpke) rideable now? Several years ago we planned a back way over safe streets -- do we still need to use the back way?
