Bifocal solution for cycling Sunglasses?
Hello cycling friends,
Maybe this has been discussed before. I'm seeking a sunglass solution for cycling with a bifocal prescription. Most makers I'm aware of will not make a prescription sunglass lens that is bifocal. Anybody out there found a satisfactory solution that is hardy enough for road cycling?
thanks in advance
Looking for a riding partner
Hi.
I'm looking for someone in my area of the city that would like to meet a couple of times a week to head out and ride for 2 - 3 hours. I'm in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. Ideally you are in Yonkers, Riverdale, Kingsbridge, or Inwood.
I'm not too psynced about riding the streets alone in the NW Bronx or Northern Manhattan for 30 mintes each way between my apartment and either the GWB or the South County trail. Since there is less traffic, the drivers are going faster and as less attentive to driving.
I'm a slow B (15/16mph) rider, especially on a climb. On a good day, the climb to the Alpine range station will take me around 15 minutes.
Looking for a ride co-leader for a recurring Wednesday ride, B17
The basic ride plan is something that I've been doing solo - ride to the Whole Foods in Closter, NJ (near, though not quite at, the intersection of Piermont Road & Closter Dock Road), spend 30-40 minutes grocery shopping, ride home with the groceries. I've been trying to leave home (West 110s) a little bit before 8 AM for arrival at the store at 9. (8-9 AM is a seniors-only hour.) Assuming I finish shopping around 9:30, I'm generally home again around 10:30 AM or a little after. The B17 pace becomes somewhat notional hauling groceries up the hill to Englewood Cliffs. Usually I climb Booth. ;-)
There wedre 47 people in Strictly's parking lot when I was there Sunday. How many of them had masks?
I'm not talking about not wearing them; I'm talking about just having them around their neck.
Answer (excluding those I rode with): 2 out of 47.
GWB report: Maybe 1 out of 8 were wearing masks. Needless to say not one of the speedsters darting in and out had one on.
