Membership renewal - if you don't want to wait for a web fix
If you click on the "Contact Us" link on this site and then try to send an email regarding membership, absolutely nothing happens. Same with the other links. So I'm resorting to the message board.... My question: I believe my membership expired on 12/31/10 and I'd like to renew. Shouldn't there be a place on this website where you can renew? Thanks and best, Laurie Cohen

At the request of the NYCC president a while back, Karin Fantus (certified pilates teacher) and I (certified yoga teacher) have put together an introductory, 2-night Yoga/Pilates for Cyclists Sampler Class. For some reason it has only been advertised in the NYCC e-newsletter - so I'm pasting it here.
List of pedestrian and cyclist deaths in NYC
Here is a list of pedestrian and cyclist deaths in NYC for 2010. How much blood has to be shed before anything gets done?

In my opinion we need punishment for those who kill with an automobile, technological improvements to cars to prevent speeding and record data at time of accident, and educate cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers on laws governing use of the road.

Ride 2 Recovery (link)
tuesday hill repeats - game on!
i ran in the park today (72nd to 102 and back to 72) to check out the early morning road conditions of central park. all's good for the most part. the 80s on both the east and west side are a little snowy, wet, etc, but totally rideable.
my running route didn't include harlem hill, but i'm going to keep my fingers crossed for dry conditions there as well. if they are unsafe, we can do laps.
anyhow, i'm dying to be back on my bike. new year's resolution to exercise more? been a sloth? need to get ready for the sig? just want to ride? please join me.
happy new year to all :-)
GWB cleaning question
I went over the GWB yesterday and It was dry which was nice.
However there was so much junk on the pathway.
Ice Salt bags, numerous parts of cars, a FULL car door by the NY end of the cables just sitting there.
Who can we mention that they need to clean this up?
