I'm looking for a week long guided tour this summer and figured that posting here would relieve me from the frustration of googling "cycling tour".  I'd like a challenging ride with 60+ miles for 5 days or more.  I'd like it to be at least van-supported because I don't want to have to buy a touring bike, but I don't care about staying at nice hotels and wouldn't mind camping.  I called Adventure Cycling to hear about a trip and they told me that the people signed up were between 50 - 75, which worried me that I would have the "You're the same age as my daughter..." conversation with everyone I met.

anyone interested in doing this ride in july. seems like an interetesting option.

In case anyone planned to ride this Sunday, May 6 on Henry Hudson Drive (aka, River Road) from Ft. Lee going north, there will be a half marathon.  The gun is at 9 from Ross Dock in Ft. Lee.  http://www.escapetopalisades.com/

Did you know that thousands of New Yorkes have never learned how to ride a bicycle?  It's true!

Bike New York offers free classes to kids and adults in all five boroughs teaching folks how to ride for the first time, and how to ride safely.  After a quick, one hour training session, you could be one of our volunteers instructors!  

No one ever forgets the first time they learned how to ride a two-wheeled bicycle.  You can use your love and knowledge of cycling to help teach others how to make that first step to being a cyclist.  Hope to see you at a training soon!!
