Is the ride still on this morning in the park? I checked the weather and it predicted  35% chance of pricipitation. How bad does the weather prediction have to be to cancel a C ride?

Submitted by billm45s on Thu, 04/04/2013 - 5:02pm
It would be helpful if everyone would follow the link below to a poll Crain's is taking and show support for BNY by voting no.

For an excellent article on the issue please see Streetsblog:

Friday morning relaxed A ride in Central Park

Submitted by CGuzzetta on Thu, 04/04/2013 - 9:01am

Jody and Christy will be riding 3 relaxed laps Friday morning starting 6:00 AM from the parking lot of TOG.  Please join us.  Relaxed A kinda pace, A/18, A19.  Just for fun. Will keep the pace slow enough so we can gossip about everyone who needs to be gossiped about.   I’m not missing the ride.

Rain or wet roads automatically cancel.

Railroads Adopt Pneumatic Tires to Reduce Suspension Losses

Submitted by NWeissman on Thu, 04/04/2013 - 8:30am

Recent tests with bicycles have shown that even on a very smooth road surface, lower tire pressures increase comfort with no loss of speed. Now even railroads have become persuaded that super-hard tires diminish both comfort and performance.

B SIG Meets at Eleanor Roosevelt Statue This Week

Submitted by FLeffel on Thu, 04/04/2013 - 7:39am

Please note that the B SIG meets this Saturday at the Eleanor Roosevelt Statue, 72nd and West Avenue, NOT at the Rambles Shed.

The ride schedule linked through the B SIG web page had incorrectly listed the start at the Rambles Shed.
