In an effort to further improve the ride signup process, we've added the ability to view the your waitlists. To view your waitlists (or for that matter, Rides or Leads) simply click on the "Your Account" link on the top right corner and select the appropriate menu item (Leads/Rides/Waitlists)

Saturday lunch ride to Stone Barns - weather forecast

Submitted by JFinder on Fri, 08/30/2013 - 11:14am

Thanks for your emails about the weather forecast.  The forecast is for possibly an isolated thunderstorm.  This is not a reason to cancel a ride, since it's "isolated" and who knows where it will be.  However, if it worries you, please withdraw from the ride sooner rather than later.

We will watch the forecast and put an update on the message board if it changes.

Bergen County Repaving

Submitted by CWaaser on Thu, 08/29/2013 - 7:40pm

Both Churchill and Buckingham have been milled for repaving.  This is good news for the long term, but you may not want to take either road this weekend.  Not sure when they'll be finished.

Dangerous gap on Fifth Ave between 27th and 28th

Submitted by PJeffery on Wed, 08/28/2013 - 4:14pm

I reported this to 311 and 911:

A metal construction plate has shifted along its entire length, revealing a 5-6" gap (perhaps over a foot deep). A car would drive over it but a bike would go right into it. It's on Fifth between 27th and 28th, between the left and middle lanes.

I hope it's fixed by the time you're reading this, because it could cause a catastrophic accident. A lot of bikers use the left lane on Fifth. In general, I avoid these plates.

Need a cyclocross size 32-35mm

Submitted by JSchpero on Tue, 08/27/2013 - 7:07pm

Does anyone have suggestions for where I could find a cyclocross with 32-35mm tires or wider for a full day ride?

I'd be happy to rent if the cost isn't too high, but I'd prefer to borrow for the day if possible.

Thanks!
