Invisible bicycle helmet

Submitted by YehuditS on Sun, 11/10/2013 - 10:46pm

no, not a joke.

Two Swedish students have developed a prototype and got it approved and patented. For those of you not fortunate enough to understand Swedish, this video has English subtitles.

And here is their website: http://www.hovding.com/en/ This new helmet is even CE marked which is the European Unions safety standard.

Now, of course, the question occurs as to where to attach dorky "CatEars"... http://www.cat-ears.com/

The Armstrong Lie

Unfortunately this discourages me from being willing to pay to see the film...

"Gibney, nevertheless, manages to make good use of the footage from his original project called "The Road Back," taking the viewer on his journey on the 2009 Tour de France, where he had unparalleled access to Armstrong, who in turn would earn a share of the film's profits. "

The piece is wayyyy too forgiving of the failure of the police to police and prosecutors to prosecute.

Congratulations!

Ryan Abshire and his wife are the proud parents of a newborn daughter.  Ryan was my siggie in the A19 class of 2008 and went on to become a skilled racer.  Besides a good cyclist, he is an amazingly sweet man, and I personally wish him and his family lots of good health and cheer!

All Class

One of the things I like about my NYSC is that is it full of people who are a class act. Last night at the ENY party many of us witnessed that. Elyse Rothenberg brought swag for all of us, a usable back pack, with goodies inside including socks. But she didn’t stop there as they were all taken by the time some people arrived. She simply created a list so to get them for those people. Elyse, you are all class and one of the reasons I love my Town. Thank you. Hal
