A literally definitive way to honor Christy Guzzetta
I think of Christy and Jody today. Today is the summer solstice. I’ve thought of Christy and Jody for years on the day of the summer solstice because for years they led rides in the morning and again in the evening to note it. (I never want on one but I thought it was a really neat way to note the day.)
I have an idea to memorialize Christy. I proposed it to club officers April 5th. Like all my ideas for the club*…nothing came of it. I propose it to the club body today.

Better Bike Rental
Any advice on where to rent a decent bike, preferrably in Manhattan? Something suitable to get me to, over and back from Bear Mountain with A-STS level riders.
Warranty replacement of the fork on my only bike now won't happen this week and maybe not until the end of next week.
I'm going to have to remedy the only bike situation but right now, I need to find a subsitiute.
Ride leader training for C Rides
If you ever thought about leading a ride,, join us for our ride leader training session - but this is not a casual C ride, so don't sign up unless you want to learn practical ride leading skills in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
We'll have a pre-ride class (about 30-45 minutes) and then do the ride, giving each participant a turn at the front.
