Interesting: from all the clamor, you would think that all she did was create bike lanes and piss off motorists.

 

I was just ticketed for failure to use a bike lane

Last night I was pulled over by the NYPD and given a ticket on my bike.  The offense was failure to use a bike lane, which is insane for several reasons:

I might be working in Shreveport, LA for a couple of months....so sad to miss Fall cycling in New York. Does anyone know what the cycling is like down there? Would it be worth the cost to ship a bike?

Seeking Hose Near 90th and Lex

Does anyone know a place near 90th and Lex with a hose that will let you wash off your bicycle? I live at 90th and Lexington. I don't mind paying for it.

 

 

 

Elderly man collapsed on 9W (cardiac arrest) 1:30PM

The older man was wearing a E-rudy sterling helmet - white / blue / silver matte. His road bike had zipp carbon 808 clincher wheels, can't recall the bike brand.. The man was riding up hill 9W South towards Lamont Campus Columbia University when, according to witnesses... he all of a sudden started going backwards and collapsed off the bike. At least one of the witnesses (which were cyclist) stated that i discussed the incident with saw him on 9W Market sitting on one of the benches for a very long time..

Very short notice B18 to Nyack

Chill B18 to Nyack at 10am meeting at 72nd & RSD.  It's spur of the moment but the weather looks as though it will cooperate for part of the day.  Just two of us for now but a few more would be cool.  Safety and fun are the only two requirements.........................

so i am going to grand central as planned and will see if anyone whows up to ride
