No Bikes on Subway During Rush Hour?
I heard an announcement for the first time on Friday afternoon at 4:15 on the uptown 4 train at 14th Street.
The conducter, not a prerecorded announcement, stated over the PA system: "Bikes are not allowed on MTA subways during rush hour."
I think this guy just made up this "rule" so his train wouldn't be delayed during a busy afternoon, but has anyone else heard this or heard of any rule changes?

Good/Bad news re morning laps in Central Park
Good news/bad news regarding morning laps in Central Park.
The good news – the lights are back on at the North end of the Park around Lasker Pool and Harlem Hill. Yeah!!!! Makes a world of difference.
A fun video about stopping at red lights
Here you go: http://youtu.be/BpRfUh1Dzlw. It's about 5 minutes, with an engaging commentary, but you get the picture quickly.
Without a pedestrian in the intersection, the number of cars coming to a complete stop at the stop sign? ZERO.
With My Own Two Wheels @ Lincoln Center 10/23
Hi NYCC,
My name is Jacob Seigel-Boettner, and I am a fellow cyclist and documentary filmmaker from Berkeley, CA. This Sunday (10/23), I will be screening my film With My Own Two Wheels at Lincoln Center as part of Mountainfilm NYC. The film weaves together five stories of individuals who have been empowered by the bicycle in Zambia, Ghana, India, Guatemala, and the United States. Friday monring laps in Central Park
I'll be doing easy A laps in Central Park Friday morning - probably average around 18 mph for the 3 laps. If you'd like to join, meet at 6:00 AM at what used to be Tavern on the Green's parking lot inside Central Park. I think my wife is coming - she's easy to recognize - she's the pretty one.
