Thoughts on today's event.  Personally I think the organizers did an excellent job, except at the end, where after picking up medals they blocked off Henry Hudson drive toward the GW and made us back track what felt like 2 miles to enter 9W after the first climb on Henry Hudson.

Looking for comments/criticisms/balls of flame on the following:

On a Cannondale 6 Road Bike, will replacing the current Ultegra 10sp cassette and short-cage derailleur w a 10sp Shimano XT or XTR cassette (11-32 or 11-34) matched to a Shimano Shadow long-cage derailleur, w new 10sp chain, work okay on my current (already motley) setup, which is:  10-sp Shimano 105 shifters; Ultegra derailleurs front and rear; Ultegra 11-28 cassette; SRAM Force compact crank.   

can you help me macgyver a cuesheet holder/clip?

i don't have exposed cables up by my handlebars so i can't do the ole trusty binder clips trick anymore.

i have this - http://www.bikegifts.net/prodimages/clip_lg.jpg - but last week, it tried to escape my handlebar twice.  i don't feel the velcro is strong (and it's relatively new).

Hurdles on Putnam Trail still include review from NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation and the NYC Planning Board, but CB#8 approval of the VCP20 Master Plan is a huge win for the residents of Riverdale, not just cyclists.
