Escape New York - thank you Monica Miller
I will be sending a thank you to all of the Escape New York volunteers later today, but I especially wanted to reach out to Monica Miller who has put her heart and soul into this event all year. She is the Routes Director and also the Project Manager, which means she basically handled everything, including budget, and tried her best to bring me and the rest of the ENY Committee into the 21st Century with all kinds of wonderful project management tools.
Monica has been the real power behind the throne, so to speak, and she deserves a huge amount of credit.
For those who might not know her, she was the petite woman wearing an ENY jersey at ENY on Saturday checking everything out and making sure everything was going smoothly.

Dirty Apple anyone?
Has anyone done this ride with WCC? Is anyone planning to do it this year? Neile??
Looks like fun.
Board Nominations
It would be great if there was a place to read what each position entails. Might mke it easier to think of who could fill a role.
If there is such a desciption already, my apologies. But I sure can't find anything on this site.
NYPD Bike jacket needed!
Hi I'm working on Law and Order SVU- have a last minute need to find a NYPD Bike Patrol jacket that I need to get today. No luck at any of the police supply stores. Anyone have a lead on where to buy?
Please message me if you have a lead.
Thank you!
Lauren
Thank you Linda Wintner and all the ENY volunteers,
All the turns were well marked, the pit stops manned by enthusiastic volunteers, no shortage of anything, excellent ride! Thanks again to Linda and the army of volunteers!
When does ENY Informational Email Go Out?
Never received one, or a link to download the routes either.
Suggestions as to where I can get a crank re-tapped?
I've got an old Stronglight crank with French pedal threads. I'd like to have them re-tapped to English threading. Conrad's wants $50 for the job. Anyone else have this done? If so, where and how much were you charged? Thanks.
GWB and Google Maps
Is it just me or did Google Maps stop routing pedestrians and cyclists over the George Washington Bridge's pedestrian/bike path? For example, if I ask it for directions from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital to Strictly Bicycles, it insists on making me ride all the way to Midtown West, take a ferry to the NJ side and ride all the way back up for a total of 16 miles instead of the more direct route across the bridge for a total of 3 miles.
