GWB Survey- Saturday, Sept 9- that's tomorrow...

Submitted by Cyndi on Fri, 09/08/2017 - 10:59am

Our friends at the Port Authority have informed us that they will be conducting a survey at the George Washington Bridge tomorrow morning (Saturday, Sept 9) from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. They will be asking pedestrians and cyclists to stop at a table alongside the path on the NJ side to fill out a 1-page survey on their trip origin, destination and other travel characteristics. Please take a few minutes and contribute to the survey. Thanks very much.

Anyone watching the Orica Scott Backstage vlogs?  They seem to be having a great time at the race.

GFNJ - transferring registration instructions

Submitted by EWeiss on Wed, 09/06/2017 - 2:12pm

Hi GFNJ Team NYCC registrants and interested members,

Due to a flurry of last minute transfers, here is what is required to transfer a GFNJ registration:

1. Obtain the name, email address and order # of the current registrant (transferer)

2.The prospective/new registrant (transferee) obtains an email or note from the current registrant authorizing the transfer to the new registrant

3. At registration, the new registrant presents the above, along with the $55.00 transfer fee, to the kind registration desk volunteer.

I hope that this is helpful.

At this time Team NYCC has 57 registered members, who will be flying our team's colors at GFNJ this coming Sunday.

Good luck to all of you!

Eden

Escape NY A ride lead by Team Patch & Team NYCC

Submitted by AOstroy on Wed, 09/06/2017 - 11:11am

Join us! For the 9th year in a row Team Patch and team NYCC will be leading an "A" ride for Escape New York. All strong NYCC riders are welcome; not just those that are interested in racing next year. We will meet at around 6:45 AM at Sakura park and congregate right outside on the fence just south of the entrance, at 7:15 we ride, you will spot us easily by our green patch jersey and the blue and orange NYCC kits. The pace will be steady and we will try to keep everyone together. It may get a bit more selective on the longer climbs, but we always regroup at the top. We’ll stop for all mechanicals, etc.

For your viewing pleasure

NYC Century Ride Sunday

Submitted by BNichols on Sun, 09/03/2017 - 8:55am

Anybody is welcomed to join me on this ride. I have done it a few times before, and have a great riding plan. We start early, be on line by 5:40 for a 6:00 100 mile start. You dont have to go the 100 if you dont want to, just skip the Bronx Loop at the end and it will be a 80 mile ride. Getting out early and in front means that there will be no lines at the rest stops and the streets will be pretty clear.

I am a quick B rider with the goal to finish ASAP. We will try to stay together to the 1st rest stop, then break up into smaller groups as necessary.

Here is my route from 2014

Email me if you are interested in joining.  Naturally you have to sign up with TA
