a river runs through it-U cannot reach West Nyack Road from Western Highway (not from Ida damage)

Aficianados of LuLu Cafe have to get there another way. (via Pearl River Naurashaun or Christian Herald from Nyack, etc.  Western Highway has been closed about 1/2 mile from its northern terminus and a medium size river runs across its path.  I assume it awaits construction of a bridge.

Road Closures New Jersey:

County Road where it crosses Cresskill Brook (this is just south of the 'bend' that heads County Road toward Piermont Road). Roadway and east sidewalk entirely washed out, west sidewalk stilll there but looks unstable and I did not try to cross.

Only closure I noted this monring (saturday) on the way to Bradley/Tweed, but certain there are others. Please add.

Just a head's up to everyone that as of 4pm yesterday (Sept 2) the road was under 2-3 feet of water and two cars were stranded.

As a triple user (52/42/26) who rarely uses the big ring, this sounds like an ideal set-up for many of us, especially slower B and C riders. Any experience out there?

Potential scammers near lighthouse hill by GWB

I'm still shaken from what happened tonight, but I wanted to make the effort to communicate this in hope that it helps someone in the future.
 
TL;DR a man and woman on eMTB seemed intent on scamming (more likely) or harming me which included ramming my rear tire twice, chasing me on the road, and striking me in the chest. They fled after I called the police.
 
A little bit before 7pm tonight, I climbing the lighthouse hill on my way to GWB on a normal solo ride. As I passed to the right of the post at the top, I suddenly felt a tire grinding against mine for a couple seconds and then heard a man swearing at me.

Endless Downhill Loop?

I was looking at an M.C. Escher illustration (like this) and I was thinking; could we get him to design a route that loops out and back and is downhill all the way? If anyone can do it, it’s him!
