hammer heed energy drink

Submitted by tfan on Thu, 05/24/2012 - 6:37pm

Do you use hammer heed? it says it's also a good source of electrolytes. On bike rides of 100 miles and more, do you reccommend additional electrolytes or would heed suffice. I'm new to this, many thanks.

The ClimBathon returns to its regular Saturday schedule next week. But this week...on Sunday. Why? Because you should be staying in, glued to your monitor (alas, not TV screen) watching THE great stage of the Giro, including the dreaded Mortirolo followed by the Stelvio (which, alas again, is being climbed from its far less interesting side, Bormio, rather than the 48 hair pins out of Prato. Then you can go ride your bike at noon.

I have to work a half day tomorrow, so I will be catching the 145pm train to Wassaic station about 30 miles from Great Barrington. I plan on riding up at a A19 pace if any wants to join me?

Long, flat road with no traffic and few turns? LIE service road?

Submitted by riton on Thu, 05/24/2012 - 11:12am

Hi!
I'm looking to ride long flat stretches, departing from NYC, with the least trafic possible (want to test out how long/comfortable I am on my aerobars)
Someone suggested the LIE service road, but I'm not sure how to get there, up to where I can ride it, how good it actually is compared to 9W,...
I looked around the ride archive but didn't really find anything that looked to fit. Anyone has any pointers?

Thanks!!!

Submitted by Smoll on Thu, 05/24/2012 - 9:16am

Hi,

I am riding my bike up to Sheffield on Friday and I wonder if there's anyone driving up on Friday who has space for a small back pack?

Please email at [email protected] or call at 646 373 8024.

Will be happy to drop off the bag at your house tonight.

Thank you,

Seb

Am I the only dummy who can't figure out their Cateye?

Submitted by Moss55 on Thu, 05/24/2012 - 12:11am

I just picked up my first bike computer, a Cateye Adventure (wireless) and I've been playing with it for the last hour or so...and I can't figure out this stupid SSE button.  The instructions basically say it has to be pressed constantly to set it up but I swear this thing doesn't press.  Am I completely incompetent or is this thing defective?
