June 9: Oyster Bay Ride & Row
Hi all -
We have (at least) two open spots for Oyster Bay Ride & Row on Saturday June 9.
We have an A and B group going out; if you're interested, take a look at the ride listings and send me a note to sign up.

Help...Who do I talk with about getting a new bike shop into the member discounts???
I have been going to a wonderful bike shop, 718 Cyclery, in Brooklyn now for a few years and spoke with the owner, Joe, last week about the club. He already parterns with TA and they have a membership discount of 10% I think up to purchases of $100. He said that he would like to partner up with NYCC too, but I don't know who to contact and in this regard.
If you can direct me to the right person that would be great...
Help finding an "auto mini"
A friend wants to replace her old auto mini that broke down with another. Any suggestions on where to buy one? Anyone have one in their garage/storage area they might want to sell?
I will suggest to her the usual CL and EB but just hoping there might be one just lyin' around out there!
Thanks.
Tire Recommendation
I've used Continentals for my road bike for years and have no complaints. Both tires are shot.
As one who likes to mix in hard pack, 25 mm have been my choice. I've used 4 Season, 3000 and 4000. In this incarnation I am mtn biking the other 3 seasons. What tire would you recommend for a road bike doing club rides?
Need help loading google map onto my new Garmin Edge 800
Can anyone help me on this one?
Bike Storage
Like many NYC apartment dwellers, I store my lightweight road bike in my building's bike room. The room is fitted with wall hangers. While this is efficient and prevents a big jumble of bikes, I have wondered if this method causes damage to my wheels, either the bearings, spokes, or true. Also, I wonder if its better to hang the bike from the front or rear wheel (works both ways).
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
NYCC PostCard - Bike Shop distribution

To get our beautiful new NYCC postcard, designed by Cathline Marshal, into every bike shop and bike hangout in the 5 boros and beyond, we'll need your help.
Pick up a pack at the June 12 club meeting and make sure your own local shop is supplied!
