Not too late to sign-up for the newly listed Tuesday 5:30 AM ride-Tavern-see ride listing--
The NYT article barely suggests the enormity of the larger issue; the 2nd link is to a NYCCer on cars

New comers ride to Piermont today
Thank you to all the volunteers, lunch was great and the rides were excellent! We appreciate your time and effort!
Thank you!
I led my first ride today. It was more successful than I ever could have imagined possible. On my way home, I started trying to name every person from the club who personally, specifically made today's ride possible. I am deeply grateful to the members of this club who share their knowledge, advice, experience and time so generously. I'm quite sure this list is not comprehensive and is in no order but what my addled brain rattled off, but I couldn't resist.
To my SIG leaders - Kate Mostkoff, Tamara, Sylvia, Deb, Laurie, and Leonora, for obvious reasons.
To Ellen Jaffe and Neile Weissman for all the advice and encouragement on route planning.
Ride and Row Class of 2012
Congrats to all new rowers!

And thanks to co-leaders George Arcarola, Beth Bryson, Rob Fleugel and Amanda Kendrick.
Sunday Morning 8am A21 9W-Ash-Bradley/Tweed-9W Loop
Anybody up for an A21 9W-Ash-Bradley/Tweed-9W loop tommorow at 8am from the NJ side of the GWB? We will attack the climbs and paceline with a smooth, fast groove on the flats.
We will be flying in economy class; no meals served, just a very quick drink and snack stop. The plan is to be back at the bridge before 11am.
Please email me if you are joining the ride.
Thanks,
Rod C.
ClimBathon: PIPC police HQ says River Rd. IS open...but it's going to rain.
For those who wonder if the Weather Wussy weathered the rain. We went. Had a fine ride. At worst, it drizzled, but not much.
For those checking in about the road, it is re-surfaced. I'm told another layer will be put down, but it's darn good now, at least going north. Coming south is a day behind in work. And wouldn't it be good and appropriate for the club to write the PIPC to acknowledge and thank them for their work.
