Heads up to anyone trying to get from Brooklyn to Manhattan tomorrow morning.

You would be well advised to use any bridge OTHER than the Brooklyn Bridge, especially early in the morning.  Usually that's the ONLY time I do ride over the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan but since TA's NYC Century is tomorrow the bridge will be packed with riders coming from Manhattan into Brooklyn.

They will have very little sympathy for the fact that you're going "the wrong way" and, if it's like last year, there won't be any marshals on the bridge.

Come join us for Bike4Bikes Fall Foliage Charity Bike Ride in beautiful Fairfield County CT, Saturday Sept. 28, 2013.  There will be 3 routes, a 20 mile, 75K and 100K starting at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT.  (Similar to the Bloomin Metric) No fundraising required.

Join us! For the 5th year in a row the siggi's team will be leading an A ride for Escape New York. All strong NYCC riders are welcome; not just those that are interested in racing next year. We will meet at around 6:45 AM at Sakura park and congregate right outside on the fence just south of the entrance, at 7:15 we ride. The pace will be steady and we will try to keep everyone together. It may get a bit more selective on the longer climbs, but we always regroup at the top. We’ll stop for all mechanicals, etc. 

If you enjoy the back roads of cycling through Jersey (501, Piermont Rd., County Rd.) you'd better check the route for this Sunday's Andiamo ride.  THOUSANDS of motorcycles flood the streets and can force a wait of over an hour to just cross the street.
