This just in from the Port Authority: The GWB South sidewalk will be close on Saturday 3/5/16, for repairs. The North sidewalk will be open.

Did a ride with Signature Cycles in Greeenwich this past Saturday. It was only one ride, but the area struck me as pretty good for getting rides in. I just looked at the ride library and didn't see anything. Has the NYCC done any rides there?  It's literally a 45 minute train ride on Metro North starting from Harlem.

The link at the bottom of this note is to a disquisition by a professor at the Glasgow School of Art on Leonardo's supposed invention of the bicycle...debunking it. The passage here is at the very end of it. It's wonderfully droll which is why I post this here. Share this putdown of Italians' pride with all your Italian friends.
