WANTED: your input on city island fried seafood and ice cream ride
following the success of the jersey shore sandwich/brewery/ice cream ride, i'm keen to scout city island and surroundings to come up with a short, pretty route that's also somewhat recovery ride-ish and accessible to all types of riders.
Location to do FTP Test
Hi:
I'm looking for someplace to do a 2x10 FTP Test.
I have been using the Bear Mtn Climb, from the traffic circle by the lodge/carousel to the tower (once a year as my test), not sure that will be available in the near term. I'm in the NW BX, so places in Brooklyn/Queens are doable, but probably an all day trip. (ex: Floyd Bennet Field).
Places in Bergen, Westchester, and lower Rockland County are preferred.
Thanks.

Website request: Get signed-up rides in Calendar
Hi all,
New-ish member doubt: Is there a way to get the rides you sign up for in Google Calendar automatically?
Afaik two common ways to do this are:
- An ics link linked to your account that tells you rides you signed up for
- Sending a calendar event attachment thing in the email of the signed up for ride email
Apologies if this thing already exists somewhere and I have been unable to find it
Regards,
Megh
Greyfox Ride
Hey- I have seen NYCCers up there before. Lets get together for a short ride. I will have my CRX bike with flat pedals.
For those wondering what this is, the Greyfox Bluegrass Festival is in Oak Hill NY July 13,14,15, 16. This is a camping event.
Lets meetup, email me and we will work out the details.

...to paraphraze the famous/infamous National Lampoon cover.
Summer has arrived with all of its Canadian smog glory here in NYC. Combing through a bunch of long delinquint links in my bookmarks folder it occurs to me that many of the bike-themed forums, and possibly this one, lay somewhat barren. I used to go to Bikeforums and RoadBikeReview to find what was 'hot' in shopping deals. Doesn't seem to be such a thing these days.
Barring 'social media' is there some place that tracks great bike/kit/gear deals and discounts? Why isn't there some form of Deals Thread here at NYCC?
