Bicycle, the Movie
This is probably old news to most of you, but there is a great documentary on Netflix about the history of cycling in Britain. Very good.
RIP Pedal Pusher Bike Shop
It seems to have closed suddenly, recently, and the sign in the window fell down so there's no information to be had.

C-SIG Classification Ride in ON
FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE PRE-REGISTRED FOR THE C-SIG:
The C-SIG Classification Ride will take place tomorrow, March 10. Please arrive at 10:30. If you don't know the location, please check the email you were sent when you first registered. That email has a link to a document with all the details about the ride, including a map of the start location.
It will be quite chilly tomorrow morning. Dress in layers with a good windbreaker on top. Make sure your knees, hands & ears are fully covered and that you wear warm socks or use chemical toe warmers (over your socks, inside your shoes). The information document referred to above has more details on how to dress.
River Road/9W/Points North Road Conditions as of March 9?
Anyone know how things are looking on River Road, 9W and the various side roads to the north? Trying to figure out whether this weekend will be long spin sessions, or whether it makes sense to ride in the real world.
How To Improve Your Cycling - monthly club meeting, this coming Tuesday, at Connolly's
Dear Members,
Just look at this picture and you'll forgive me all my rants.
It's in Pontamafrey, Rhone-Alpes, France. Never saw it; never heard of it. And now, just as soon as I hit "save," I'm going to go to Google maps and find out where it is.
CP loop drive - post storm
.
Is clear and dry. Center lane is a little salty.
There were some questions about the shape of Rambles area and boat house parking lot as gathering spaces for large groups. BH lot is half filled with storage trailers and sheds, not enough room for 2 different Sig groups. Rambles lot area is fenced off just north of the lot. Doesn't seem enough for 150 people without blocking the East/West path for regular park users.
Central Park Laps plus playground pitstops with kids in tow
So I have a 3 y.o. son and identical twin 1 y.o. daughters, and I recently bought a 2 person Burley trailer and a Yepp bike seat, and I'm planning to start taking my kids out for rides, playground diversions, general play and snacks/lunch in the park once the spring weather arrives.
I thought it would be fun if there are any other like-minded parents who might want to join me in multi-tasking a bike ride with the kids and some fun stops in the park - playgrounds and other points of interest.
Message me if you're interested and let's talk to try and set up an initial outing.

This good news re: Greenbush (Clausland/Schuyler/Bradley) would have been posted by a non-member had he been able to.
