"John Link" has some interesting stories, and somewhat frequent NYCC poster, but is he a NYCC member?  Enquiring minds wanna know..

Last winter when we had snow & ice, the Port Authority spread potassium chloride pellets as a de-icer on the bridge path. The pellets melted into messy globs that stuck to our wheels & drive trains and was a bear to clean up. So this is just a reminder, when you cross the brige this winter, be aware of blobs of white matter that might look like little patches of snow. They may be globs of potassium chloride and you do NOT want to ride thru them.
