BarMitts
On Sunday I did a ride up Gate Hill to Lake Welch with my Rockland buddy Bob and we used BarMitts for the first time. The starting temp. on Sunday was about 30 and windy. The BarMitts are neoprine mittens that easily slide over the hoods of your handle bars and are fastoned with two velcro closures. They are easliy installed and removed. They have them for Shimano, Campy and SRAM (the same for both) and for mountain bikes (straight across bars) and come in small, medium and large. You can use thin long finger gloves inside the BarMitts. I used the Assos Early Winter gloves with the Assos thin liners, inside the BarMitts. You can take your hands in and out of the BarMitts easily while riding.
Will The NYPD React As Quickly And As Strongly To Protect Cyclists As They Do Pedestrians?
I don't ride along this stretch of road in Brooklyn but I know that many do on their way into Manhattan.
