“I could be dead, for sure. I flew into Bilbao on Saturday night before the Vuelta al País Vasco. I wanted to get here early, relax and go for a ride. I was returning from a light ride, about two hours, at about 12:30. I was using my (smart phone) to find some good roads. I was about five kilometers from the hotel. At that point, I was on a big road, with a big shoulder. There was a white line and I was over on the far right side of the shoulder. I was just riding along. I didn’t hear or see anything. The impact was straight in from behind.
I am wondering if any peeps are thinking of doing the VT challenge? http://www.stratton.com/events/vermont-challenge.htm
Hello NYCC...
Another two new (sort of related) features were fully launched today.
The first... we allow file upload (pdf, doc, xls, gpx, etc) per ride. So, upload your cue sheets and gps files in advance. These uploads will live on the ride page itself.
The second... perhaps you decide to use a ride from our extensive ride library... Now, you can link directly to that ride route from within your specific rides.
Send me feedback.
Now, get out there and ride.

Want to let NYCC friends know about a new Gran Fondo type event happening in our beloved Berkshires on May 6, 2012. It's the Berkshire Cycling Classic out of Lennox, MA. For more info, check out my story on it at the CRCA website:
http://www.crca.net/2012/04/first-annual-uci-berkshire-cycling-classic-t...
It's being put on by John Eustice. Please help get the word out. It's the kind of thing a lot of us can enjoy!

Don't have a link to share, but if you get the paper or go to nyt.com, OpEd piece on women and cycling saddles. Nothing we didn't already know (seat-to-handlebar ratio comfort factor), but I found it worth reading. And it's short.
By chance does anyone have some kind of ride data from Sunday's A-Classic to Pleasantville? I'd like to see the elevation info and changes in northern manhattan as mapmyride doesn't have info for some of those areas.
NYCC.org now has a site wide calendar! Check it out here: http://nycc.org/calendar (Top Nav > Events > Calendar)
Right now, it pulls in all our rides. Please bear with us as we enter in all of NYCC's events and whatnot.
I'd love to hear your comments/idea/thoughts on this feature. More website news in the coming days.
I am getting an error message from the paypal server when I try to renew my membership online--anyone else having this problem?
