Garmin Give Away
Hi all,
I don't post here often, but I moved up to the Catskills from downtown NYC about 8 months ago, and I've made it my mission to get as many people riding up here as possible.
I ended up with an extra Garmin 800, so I decided to run a little contest, details here:
http://ridingthecatskills.com/
Hope to see all of you up here at some point, even if it isn't to win the Garmin :-)

Bike Commute Clothing
NY Times had an interesting article about a company called Ministry of Supply that makes bike commuting dress clothes.
http://www.ministryofsupply.com/
It's dress shirt is supposed to keep one relatively cool.

Anyone try it?

2) Where the candidates stand on bicycling in NYC in general
3) What bike changes they would do to Bloomberg's policies

Ride Leader Training - Saturday, 6/1
Please join us tomorrow if you are interested in learning the do's and don't's of leading a ride. It will be fun and informative (although we're modest, we can guarantee it!!!). And, best of all, we're using a shady, kind of flat route for anyone who, like me, thinks the heat is not fun. Sign up online for the B16, B17, or B18 ride. Hope to see you tomorrow.
co-leader wanted for Jersey Shore ride
I'm planning a ride to the Jersey Shore this June 23rd. Current plan is to go over the GWB and use the East Coast Greenway route , stop in New Brunswick for kosher pizza around mile 50 and keep going through the pine barrens to Point Pleasant where we take a break, maybe some ice cream and do some boardwalk stuff at the Jenkins Family amusement center on the boardwalk before heading back up along the shore to dinner at a kosher restaraunt in Deal (there are several choices all quite near each other) then continuing on to Long Branch and NJ Transit back to NYC. I'd like to do this as a fast B ride or slow A ride.
E-mail me if interested in co-leading.
Farewell Picnic - Adrienne Browning and Bill Laffey
Monday Night Picnic in the Park - Farewell to Adrienne and Bill
Monday, June 10, 2013 06:00 PM
Here's another chance to bid adieu to our wonderful friends, Bill Laffey and Adrienne Browing (just in case you can't make it to their Farewell ride this weekend...or even if you can!).
Adrienne and Bill have been ride leaders, Sig leaders, Board members, and organizers of Escape from New York to name a few of their many great contributions to our club. Sadly, they will be moving soon to Telluride, Colorado to begin a new life and enjoy their retirement.
