REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR!
Help support the Cycle for the Cause!
Hey all! I wanted to reach out to my fellow members and ask for help raising funds for Cycle for the Cause, a charity ride that supports the NYC LGBT Center's HIV/AIDS programs. Every year, hundreds of riders make the trek from Boston to NYC to raise funds for the Center, and this year I have decided to join them.
Anything you guys could do to help including sponserships, spreading the word about the Center, and telling others about the ride, etc, would be greatly appreciated! I'm throwing the link to the relevant websites below if you want to help donate to the cause!
Thanks in advance for your help to help us fight HIV / AIDS!

Signature Cycles Closing in Manhattan - a different view
To our members,
My hearing about Signature Cycles closure of their Manhattan SOHO studio was very saddening and upsetting to me. I just brought myself to read the mostly jocular posts on the other thread, some, unfortunately, trivializing this sad situation. My friends, Paul's terrific staff, lost their jobs. I lost my bike shop, my terrific bike mechanic and my "home away from home".
Last Minute - Sunday "C" Knockabout
With this wonderful weather, Marilyn and I plan to ride a meandering 20, 30, 40, ?? miler in the city tomorrow. From an UWS start—~9-ish—to Brooklyn Roasters for a latte, then east-ish on Willoughby to its end at Central Ave, traveling SE toward Rockaway P’kwy…. or something like that. Depending on who shows, and group desire, the route may change completely.
If available, send an email. If not, Happy Holidays. M&K
Late Posting: GWB to Beacon
My Saturday opened up, and I felt compelled to list a ride while the weather is still pleasant.
Due to the last-minute listing, it will be a small ride, and we don't have a train reservation. But I would think that Metro North can accomodate six of us on a late-afternoon on Saturday in December.

Received this email this morning from Paul Levine
This is an email that I never dreamed of writing. I can put a corporate spin on this message or "call a spade a spade" like my grandmother used to say, and share with you the information you deserve to hear as a loyal customer and friend.

B15 Morning laps in Central Park on Dec. 1 are Cancelled
High probability of rain and a very late night at the office; I am reluctantly cancelling tomorrow morning's Central Park laps.

For those Beer Loving Members, How About Some Cider?
Former NYCC member Jason Spears dropped his job at Starbucks to start a Cider brewery in the Seattle area largely to raise money for his daughter Lucy, who has a rare brain condition that sees limited research dollars. Also, the cider looks good!
