City Council Transportation Committee Agenda, Comments Welcome
The City Council Committee on Transportation jointly with the Committee on Public Safety will hold a hearing on Thursday, October 24. Oddly I have been invited to testify, has anyone else? On the chance I will actually 'testify' I would appreciate any wisdom you all have to offer as written testimony can be entered. If I do opt in it is as 'private citizen' as I represent nothing but my own experience and point of view, which l would like to be as informed and considered as possible and there are members of this club with far more knowledge and expertise than I. The second item is particularly germane. Agenda to include, among other non-cycling related items:
Int 769 - In relation to warning notice for missing bicycle equipment.
Happy 80th Birthday Richard Rosenthal
May you have many more climbathons
New Fall A19 Fall Foliage Ride for 10/12 - Sing Sing
Starting Point for Fall Foliage Rides
Hello
Why do most of the Fall Foliage rides begin in the Bronx and
and not in a more centralize location such as 72/RSD, 122/RSD or 125 and Lexington Avenue?
The Bronx is not the easiest place to get to on the weekends.
I live in Brooklyn and the Bronx is a long trek.
Could we start in Manhattan and still ride to Westchester.
Also, why no Fall Foliage rides to Rockland county?
Thank you
Jose
NYC Bike Tickets - What happens if you ignore?
Wondering what happens if you ignore a NYC bike ticket. I received my first (after a good run for 30 years) for going through a red light on RSD.
I have an MA license which I did not show, but did give my name and MA address. They don't have the license info, and have no real idea who they gave the ticket to, and can't say they verified my identity (especially in full bike gear).
Wondering if anyone has ignored a NYC bike ticket and what has happened next. Do they mail you something? What's the process?
Tedious topic. Thanks for any info. I can't really find anything useful for my situation online.
