This is appalling!

The video Darren (dortsman) posted takes your breath away. Thank you, Darren.

The video linked to it of police videotaping cyclists while parked in a bike lane and, seemingly, ticketing cyclists for not riding in the very lane they are blocking, is upsetting.

But, this, THIS, is appalling! http://blog.ronconcocacola.com/2011/06/02/nyc-goes-three-ways.aspx  Most appalling of all here: the cyclists!

See reference to it in this article from Crain's about traffic deaths: http://www.crainsnewyork.com/article/20110608/FREE/110609878

As if the Central Park cops, runners, peds and dogs are not enough . . .

Our group almost got taken out this morning at the "S" descent before Harlem Hill by a mother raccoon with a baby in its mouth zipping across the road.  Mother, baby and cyclists doing well.

Expect the unexpected.

Am thinking that we flood their website with multi-thousand dollar orders using fake cards and arrange for expedited shipping to Kandahar.  [User name "nyccgoaway"]
