New bike proto-type, with no chain! 

Wadjda is about a young Saudi Arabian girl who dreams of getting a bike so she can ride with the boys, but is stymied by religious bans on girls' activities, etc.  The movie which has English subtitles has won some awards and I think it is fairly good.     I am planning to see Bike America soon.  It is about  a 27 year old woman who deserts her boyfriend to join 4 cyclists on a marathon charity trek.  The Post gave it 2 1/2 stars and said it makes "a fairly entertaining journey"  It is playing at Theatre at St. Clements on W 46th St.

In view of NYCC's announcement this evening (October 2), we have to change the start time again.

We will start from the NJ side of GWB at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.  For anyone who wants to leave from Manhattan, Jerry will pick up a group at Eleanor (RSD/72) at 8:45 a.m.

This should get us to the Market to start the cleanup project at the NEW announced hour, 11 a.m.

The ride listing is being revised and should reappear shortly.

I got this picture today while on my way back from Henry Hudson Drive... there was a lot of road-redesign activity on Cabrini Blvd up at the NYC entrance to the GWB. This picture is not the best, but if you squint, you can see the new road markings. The west half of Cabrini had its parking shifted eastward, leaving room for a small outline for a bike lane, which may finally legitimize our trips over to Haven Avenue
