Charging $ for the Newcomer's Ride lunch?!?!

Submitted by BHafkin on Mon, 06/23/2014 - 7:31am

Since when do we charge money for lunch for the Newcomer's Ride? This ride is meant to welcome newcomers to the Club. What kind of welcome is it to charge for lunch? Please rethink this; it seems like the Club is becoming more of a business than a recreational, volunteer-run, cycling Club.

NYCC Calendar

Submitted by JFinder on Sat, 06/21/2014 - 5:23pm

I've looked all through the NYCC Calendar, http://nycc.org/calendar/2014-07, and I don't see a Newcomers' Ride or an All-Class Ride.  Are these happening this year?

Hey guys/gals,

We used these folks to ship two bikes to KC, then from St Louis to home. Great service, great price, prompt delivery, fast, helpful customer service. Marilyn and I are now fans, and we want to share this resource with you.

Will start at Westbury train station (9:10 am) and will head up to Oyster Bay.

Then I will snake down to Jones Beach and then on to the new bike path to Tobay Beach where I will be getting some well deserved chow.

Ride ends at the Wantagh train station.

About 54 miles.

Why you Bike to Nyack?

Submitted by NWeissman on Fri, 06/20/2014 - 1:49pm
NyackNewsAndViews is preparing a "Things to Do in Nyack" as a tourism pitch and has asked for short (25-50 word) personal statements about why Nyack is a "great destination" for cyclists.  It's also as a plug for NYCC.
