Register for the Montauk 120 mile challenge

The Montauk 120 Mile challenge is here on September 13, 2015 join some of the best cyclist in the New York city area as we ride from Brooklyn’s Prospect Park to the historic Montauk lighthouse the eastern most point on Long Island.

If I post a midmorning Piermont ride for Friday, August 21, would you join?

Because reasons, I'll be taking Friday off from work and getting a ride in on Friday morning. Anyone else want to come, in an NYCC-official capacity? If so, reply here or just email me privately, and I'll post a ride listing if interest warrants.

This'd be about a B18, rollout from the Frederick Douglass Circle exit from Central Park at 8:45. We'll do a quick stop at Bunbury's for a muffin, but we'll keep it short to emphasize timely return to the city. Thanks!

Happened early this morning going down harlem hill a couple of kids/teens threw bottles at me. How often does this happen?

Thanks to all the folks who selflessly worked to make the venue and the food awesome!  The fresh fruitcup was an especially nice treat on a hot day!  Also, thanks to all the leaders and participants.  It was nice seeing so many new faces amongst the club members!

First Post / Looking for a good shop to get a fitting.

Submitted by mgd150 on Sun, 08/16/2015 - 11:18am

Hi everyone, long time reader but first time poster here.

I want to get a little more serious about my riding and I'm trying to get into better cycling shape, so I'm looking to get professionally fitted for my bike.  I figure getting fitted is probably the best place to start before making any other upgrades or changes to the bike.

Anyone have any experience (positive or negative) with the bike shop at REI in SoHo?
