CRCA Women's Development Series

Submitted by MGNY on Fri, 02/26/2016 - 10:03am
Now in its fifth year, the CRCA Women’s Development Series p/b hatchmap provides a unique opportunity for Cat 3/4 women to race against their peers in Central Park.

No other race series in New York City is as focused on growing women’s racing, with race participation levels increasing every single year. Races in the series count towards earning upgrade points for USA Cycling.

The CRCA Women’s Development series is open to all women with a valid USAC license, including one day licenses.

Tuesday morning encounter

Submitted by ac2go on Thu, 02/25/2016 - 10:36am
I rode in the park Tuesday morning. I do loops around Harlem Hill. A nicely organized double pace line passed me at one point (sometime between 6 & 7am). As we approached the bottom of the hill by the pool, they came up on my right (no "on your right"), and got very, very close. A fellow said good morning—his handlebars were probably 6 inches from mine. A little too close for me... maybe not for you, but definitely for me, especially when passing at close to 20mph.

Volunteer Party....Thanks again for your efforts

Submitted by Hudson Hartmann on Wed, 02/24/2016 - 10:22pm

Thanks to all who braved the inclement weather to make it down to Union Square for the Volunteer Party. The party was for all who help make the club run as well as it does, and we are always looking for more volunteers across all levels and events! Next year let's make the party even bigger with more volunteers!

“Riding a bike makes you feel like you are flying,” Ms. Suleiman said. Ms. Salibi echoed that sentiment, saying, “I feel free.”
