Carbon Fiber Repair

Submitted by gpeng on Sun, 04/23/2017 - 10:32pm

Anybody have any experience getting carbon fiber repaired locally?

I'm told by my LBS that he doesn't think its structural damage (rear derailleur hanger blew up and RD went into the cassette and gashed the drive-side rear triangle in a bunch of places) but I'd like the option of taking it for a second opinion.

Peekskill Eats and Drinks PSA

The Peekskill Brewery is a popular spot to end a ride - the beer's good, and so's the food, but the customer service has always been mediocre.  Yesterday it was awful.

The C SIG is riding today! You might want to bring a light rain jacket just in case.

See you at the start.

Okay, so it will never fly in New York city, but it's still really cute! https://www.bikerumor.com/2017/02/17/podride-wild-enclosed-3-4-wheeled-e-bike-looks-like-micro-car/#more-151398

PIERMONT ROAD BETWEEN PIERMONT & 9W

Anyone know what's being worked on. They look to be deforesting or clearing trees on a major part of the upslope.  Sad to see more and more of the area being cleared for construction if that's what's going on. I noticed it for the first time on my ride last evening.

NYC to Lancaster

Submitted by HBorgeson on Tue, 04/18/2017 - 7:51pm

I'm planning a ride to Lancaster (city) this summer. I'd like to do it in three days of 60-80 miles each from NYC (likely shorter the third day). From Lancaster I'll bike to the SEPTA stop in Thornton when it's time to come home. If you have route suggestions from first-hand experience, I'd love to hear from you.
