To event organizer and C14 leader Peter Storey who, along with Jim Zisfein, wound up with the biggest group of the weekend.

First year leaders Mle Davis and Charles Wang who led challenging B15 routes with aplomb and good cheer.

Organizer Michael Roth, who wrangled the luggage vcrews and led the 17’s with Goldie Fernandez.

Jorge Negrin who provided tech support, and led the 19’s with Alan Resnick.

James Gilbert, Alan Ganley, Gabby Warshawer and the Racing and Development Team for raising the weekend to a whole other level.

Lynette Chiang for once again for making early morning yoga a weekend feature and David Holowka, who made the Huguenot walking tour a highlight.

This year's Tour de France Quiz: An odd history of bike racing.

Submitted by RRosenthal on Sat, 07/01/2017 - 6:19pm

My new jersey design has a few riders' names on one sleeve. There are the predictable ones, the 5X winners of the Tour and Giro, but far more interesting are other racers of extraordinary courage, commitment, and, yes, oddity. See if you can name them. I'll start with easy ones to build up your confidence.  The winner's or winners' prize is at the bottom of this.

GWB path updates, July 2017

Submitted by NWeissman on Fri, 06/30/2017 - 5:44am

Efforts on behalf of wider GWB paths forge ahead! Here's a roundup of recent posts and press.

• Cycling across the GWB can help substantially to reduce demand on the Port Authority's overcrowded mid-town Bus Terminal. See post: Latent Demand

• We criticize the PA for creating the false impression that its proposed enhancements to the GWB paths will improve cyclist safety. See post: Restore the George

Any events in CP on July 1st?

Submitted by CTaber on Wed, 06/28/2017 - 8:01pm

I'm planning to start a ride this weekend on Saturday July 1st in CP at the boathouse parking lot.  Does anyone know of any known runs or rides that will cause any closure in the park bike route? I checked the CP website and did a search on CP and this date, but nothing seems like a problem (didgeridoo festival, anyone?).  What are other sites or methods I may be missing?
