Board Meeting Site
A few minutes ago I saw a plea on Facebook by our President for a "free" location for monthly NYCC Board Meetings.
In the six years that I served on the Board we met monthly in a private dining room (O'Hara's, ManhattAN Grill) in a Manhattan restaurant. Each of us paid for our dinner and the room was provided gratis.
Why - with the sizeable cash balance in our treasury - do we have to beg publicly for a free space for NYCC Board Meetings?
Is there no pride?
Please respond in ten words or less with the head of your neighborhood redlight/stop sign runner.

Do cyclists think they're above the law, and does it even matter?
Homeless Board of Directors in Need of Shelter
Through no fault of our own, your Board of Directors has lost the use of its meeting room. If any of you out there has access to a conference room that seats about a dozen people and if you could make it available to us free of charge on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, your Board would be eternally grateful. Please let me know.

New to GFNY - looking for advice
Hello, I recently joined nycc.org as I just moved to New York City. I am attending the GFNY this coming weekend (50 miles) but I have never attended a large race like this and thought I ask the forum for advice. As I am quite new to racing and have never attended the GFNY please share your experience to a person with limited experience. For example, what should I bring? Best option to get to the race? (I live on 62nd and 1st). Things to consider as my goal is to finish the 50 mile option. Thank you so much for your help!!

Racing at Floyd Bennett Field is in danger!
There is an issue with the permitting process for using Floyd Bennett Field since the National Parks Services turned the process over to an outside vendor.
There is a petition at change.org, please sign and help.
C-STS Ride #6 to Pearl River REDUX - May 12 - CANCELLED (AGAIN)
Rain, rain, more rain. We will try to reschedule in June or July.
Study - cyclists break fewer rules than motorists.
TUES, MAY 14: Drive from Dyckman Hill Road to Alpine Circle CLOSED

TUES, MAY 14: Drive from Dyckman Hill Road to Alpine Circle CLOSED for asphalt repair (weather permitting).
A coincidence of time and space.
On occasion I remark on the MB about people on my rides: our club really does have some extraordinarily accomplished members (of which I am decidedly not one) and otherwise an interesting collection of people...a real testament to the club.
