ridewithgps change?
Perhaps a case of "snooze you lose"?
It used to be one can add entries into the cue sheet (and have roboviva convert it into pdf). But it seems now it's only for "premium" member for a fee?
(I can use a pdf editor to add it. But that's an extra step...)
Any other options?
Atlantic Beach Bridge
I had an interesting experience the other weekend scouting a route from the ride library to Long Beach/Point Lookout.
Upon reaching the Atlantic Beach Bridge, a toll bridge connecting the Rockaways with Atlantic Beach, we were confronted with a big sign indicating that cycling on the sidewalk across the bridge was forbidden and a big fine would result. As the police were sitting right there, we dutifully walked over the bridge.
But, while we were walking we saw many cyclists riding the bridge on the roadway!
Newcomers' Ride on Saturday
Trek Travel...any opinions?
The office manager where I work told me last week that upper mgmt decided I've earned an extra week to my summer vacation (I know, I should get that in writing). Like most people, I spend a fair amount of time when I'm not on vacation contemplating what I will do when I next go on vacation, so another week added to the end of August is, well, pretty soon, at the height of tourist season.
Yesterday, I wondered into the new Trek bike store on 8th Avenue and 20th and noticed the Trek Travel section of the store. I contemplated doing something with them about 10 years ago but never did. I regard it as a good sign that they are still doing this; most things that are poorly managed just don't last that long.
Great free PR for NYCC
NYCC mentioned today in the MUG (Manhattan User Group) Newsletter, https://manhattanusersguide.com/
This may bring an influx in inquiries, and possibly an increase in new riders on the newcomers' ride.
How many Neile Weissmans are featured in the NYT today?

(3rd entry down, just in case...)
Berkshires Shout-out
A big shout-out to Jim Finder for organizing a terrific Berkshires weekend. Don't know if he's also responsible for the perfect weather, but I'll give him credit anyway.
Kudos also to Paul Hofherr for organizing the C group lodging and rides. And as far as I've heard, not a tire was flatted on any of our rides!
