Going Tubeless
All,
Does anyone have experience and/or thoughts about going tubeless. I have a new Giant TCR Advanced which has tubeless compatible wheels (the P-SL0 wheel system) and after getting continious flats on my rear wheels I am thinking of trying tubeless.
The three flats I've gotten are of the same type as well. Always occuring when cornering under hard effort, they seem to be pinch flats and my guess is related to the crappy Giant Tires, but not sure. I'm positivite its not me as I never had issue with pinch flats on my old bike with Conti GP4000 tires.
Any help with either the flat or tubeless issue would be greatly appreciated.

12-25 vs 11-28
Hi,
I've been asked to join a team for this weekend's Rapha Gentlemen's Ride. Apparently it's a 120+ mile race with 14k of climbing with 6 person teams over road that may be--for large stretches--unpaved/gravel. I'm going to use my 700 x 25 tires but am also considering changing my cassette. I currently ride standard (53/39) chain rings with a 12-25 cassette. I was told to pick up at least a 27t cog. It seems like Shimano used to make an Ultegra 12-27, but now only makes an 11-28.
Now the questions. How much of a difference will 2-3 extra teeth make? How much less smooth will the shifting be on an 11-28 vs a 12-25? What else should I be thinking about?
Extra NYCC Primal Jersey in Large
I mistakenly purchased two NYCC jerseys from Primal Wear.
It is a Large. Paid $65, and can sell for $55.
Ride GWB to Philly
This weekend I am going to ride to Philly solo, but I'm going to be doing a route I've never done before. I'm interested to know if this map (which is 2 previously posted mapmyride routes that I have consolidated into 1) has any roads that I simply shouldn't be on on a Saturday. I'm leaving from the NJ side of GWB and ending in Center City (plan to leave early, circa 5am).
New 8th Ave. bike lane
The "new" 8th Ave. bike lane (btw 34th & 42nd) is slowly coming along... and it appears to be completely useless. It is being used as an extension of the sidewalk for pedestrians (just like Bway btw 42nd & 34th), and for truck deliveries. I rode in traffic rather than ride around pedestrians and trucks today. I miss the chevrons...
I don't understand the reasoning behind putting the bike lane right next to a sidewalk in a high volume area like that—can anyone explain? I stopped using the Bwy bike lane btw. 42nd & 34th because it too is a pedestrian nightmare. I take 5th Ave. now.
