I came upon a crash scene on 9W at around 1:45 this afternoon (Sat., 12/28). The injured cyclist appeared to be in bad shape.

The scene was the northbound side of 9W, under the Palisades Parkway overpass, barely 1/10 of a mile south of where the parkway exit coming from the west "Tees" into 9W. This is in New Jersey, perhaps half-a-mile south of State Line. The injured male cyclist was prone and motionless on the pavement, in the right-hand traffic lane. Near his head was a pool of blood.

Hi - I will be travelling on 7 January and will need to bring a pair of wheels with me. Rather than use the entire, bulky bike box, I was wondering if anyone has a hard wheelbox I could borrow / rent ?

To everyone planning to use Metro-North this week - stop! They have massive restrictions for this week between Christmas and New Year's. It has totally messed with our plans, so I figured I'd give a heads up to the numerous groups planning to go out.

PS. Short take on long subject.

This ride is listed as a B16 and the leader is figuring a personal pace of about 8-something mph.  The idea simply to get off the road before dark at 4 PM.

The bike I'm bringing has very deep gears (20") so I can spin comfortably at little more than walking speed.

Stronger riders can attack as they choose.  I'm just going to enjoy myself.

Hmmmmm...sounds kind of familiar, doesn't it?
