A shout out to Yvette and Karen for the Holiday Party
A shout out to Yvette and Karen for the Holiday Party. Great planning and execution. Thanks for sweating the details!
PS> On that note, a special mention to Peter Jacobson, an HVAC specialist who figured out the problem with Cafe Tallulah's air conditioning.
B15 dirt ride for Saturday - Patriot's Path
Chris Hartmann created a less "technical" variation of the Patriot's Path cue sheet and I'm leading at an easy pace. You still want something more than a road bike with 700x23 tires, but hybrid will do. Will be meeting at Penn Station at 7:45AM.

Buying a Gift Subscription
Can someone tell me how to buy a gift subscription for a friend. I sent an e-mail to the membership director, but she hasn't responded.

ventoux training in NY
Any ideas for a training route to help prepare for a Ventoux climb? We don't have anything remotely similar across the G.W.
What would be a good substitute? Repeats up Clausland Tweed?

Help support the Cycle for the Cause!
Hey all! I wanted to reach out to my fellow members and ask for help raising funds for Cycle for the Cause, a charity ride that supports the NYC LGBT Center's HIV/AIDS programs. Every year, hundreds of riders make the trek from Boston to NYC to raise funds for the Center, and this year I have decided to join them.
Anything you guys could do to help including sponserships, spreading the word about the Center, and telling others about the ride, etc, would be greatly appreciated! I'm throwing the link to the relevant websites below if you want to help donate to the cause!
Thanks in advance for your help to help us fight HIV / AIDS!

Signature Cycles Closing in Manhattan - a different view
To our members,
My hearing about Signature Cycles closure of their Manhattan SOHO studio was very saddening and upsetting to me. I just brought myself to read the mostly jocular posts on the other thread, some, unfortunately, trivializing this sad situation. My friends, Paul's terrific staff, lost their jobs. I lost my bike shop, my terrific bike mechanic and my "home away from home".
