Cue Sheet Legend | Key

Submitted by YK on Wed, 09/26/2018 - 12:56pm

Is there a key for all the acronyms on a cue sheet on the club’s webpage?  I looked under “Info”, “Guides and Tips” and could not find it.  Would be great to have a key that is easily located without digging into other docs.  I’m currently looking at a cue sheet that has acronyms like - “RRL”, TRL, LL.  I know the basics, but some of these i just have no idea.  I do have a Garmin, but it would be great to know the cue sheet codes as well.  I carry a cue sheet every time in case my Garmin battery dies, which is not an unfounded concern.  I’ve heard plenty of others who are as perplexed as I am on some of these codes, so i think it may will serve a wider audience as well.

He grew up in a bike shop and led teenagers on Europe bike tours. A grad of Penn Dent, my time in his dental chair was taken up with bike stories. I had to wait for him to remove the dental apparatus from my mouth so I could answer his questions about my bike touring exploits.

His favorite Sunday ride was from his NJ home to a coffee stop in the Nyack eatery and I frequently ran into him there.  I assume (but am not absolutely positive) that he fell while descending fast into a pothole in the Old Tappan/River Vale area and suffured a severe spinal injury.  He left two teenage daughters and a wife.

L'etape du Tour 2019, anyone?

Submitted by Jay_Etape on Tue, 09/25/2018 - 12:06am

Hi, all. This is Jay here, just joined the club today, with $1! Hooray.

Absolute beginner, no prior experience at all. I recently heard of L'etape du Tour, and thought it was a great challenge. Anyone in our club who is up for this? Wanted to get into group for training, and if possible, going to France together. Any suggestion for a beginner, equipment, training or riding tips?

Thank ya all!

David Boies is the lawyer who represented Al Gore in Bush v. Gore among other celebrity cases. He's the biggest of big deal lawyers: $1875 an hour. He once was a member of the NYCC. Not that anyone recalled riding with him but his name was in our club directory https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/21/business/david-boies-pleads-not-guilty.html
