Given a recent thread on where to buy camping equipment, I thought I would post some items for sale.  At this point in my life I will no longer be camping - all my touring will be with B & B or motel accommodations.  I have an excellent sleeping bag (stored properly - loosely bagged), 2 inflatable sleeping pads (one full length, one 3/4), a camping blanket, camping pillow (small), and possibly a few other odds & ends.  All items were used on only two short tours and are in excellent condition.  I have no idea what they're worth, so if you want them, make me an offer.

• This bike has more flight (and road) miles than many people as it was designed for those who travel and want to cycle on a high-performance bicycle at their destination while avoiding oversize or bicycle travel fees. If you travel a fair amount, this bike will eventually pay for itself. It's accompanied me to France, Italy, Hawaii, Arizona, Northern California among many other destinations. Unfortunately, I am not travelling nearly as much as I have in the past, and cannot justify keeping this lovely machine anymore

please watch the message board tomorrow morning.  if the roads are significantly wet, we'll delay the start by an hour or two in hopes of drier roads.  antique bikes just don't want to get dirty.  stay tuned.

also, there's no lovin' at cafe l'amour.  cafe l'amour is cafe no'more.  sadness.  that was my first c-sig ride destination in 2006.  if we start on time, we can to go to the farm on 501; if we start later, we can go to the coffee house at the tenafy train station.

The Official New York City "SKIRTS ON BIKES" Ride - Celebrating Freedom and Fashion

It has recently been reported world-wide that on May 3, while Dutch cyclist Jasmijn Rijcken was visiting New York City, she was approached and questioned by a NYPD officer for wearing a skirt while riding her bicycle in Soho. Rijcken says the officer told her she was a distraction for motorists, told her to change into pants, asked for her identification and nearly ticketed her. 

Leaving Grant's Tomb (122 St) at 8:30 AM Saturday. Piermont via River Road, Clausland and Tweed. Coffee stop at Piermont or the cafe on 9W and back via 9W. Should be back around 12:30. Not a hammerfest - we will keep it easy on the flats and regroup at the top of the hills - please email me if you'd like to join.
