EVEREST TRAINING RIDE #1: THE BERGEN ALPS
8:30 AM. George Washington Bridge Bus Station. Moderate 18mph
Spring is here and time to start training for the Everest
Dodecamillenium. Only 10 more months! We'll start with wind sprints
up the Walnut Grade and take it from there.

cables
I am refurbishing my bicycle and need to replace the brake and Derailler cables and housing. I have asked at a few bike stores and they give me varying prices. I think it is important that they are installed properly [I will be providing the cables and housing]. Can anyone recommend a good place to do this that is not so expensive.
Dana Gordon has died
Perhaps this is old news as I haven't been following the MB, but according to her Facebook, Dana Gordon, long time NYCC member, has died of cancer. Her funeral will be Sunday at PLAZA JEWISH COMMUNITY CHAPEL. Her husband is Steven Dzik at

As all weather forecasts are unanimous, AND we do not like riding in the rain (we are wimps) BSTS ride is postponed to Sunday April 1st.
We will meet at same time and same place. See you Sunday.

Start time and location are the same: Ramble Shed @ 9:00.
Check back here tomorrow afternoon for confirmation re Sunday start time. As of now, showers are predicted for Sunday evening, so if the arrival time of those showers gets moved up we may start earlier.

We'll be leaving Grant's Tomb at 9:00AM. Note that this is 30 minutes later than the original scheduled Saturday ride.

A ghost bike story
The following story is really not bike-centric so much as the ghost bike is used as a point of departure (and repeated return) for a family (not cycling) remembrance, but it is nicely done.
