All Class Club Ride Quiz
1. Friends
2. Bicycle riding
3. Free lunch
What’s the best part of the All Class Club ride?
Winner gets a free ice cream Thursday evening 8/11 at the Brooklyn Ice Cream factory – caveat being you have to be there to collect.
I’ll surely be there Thursday evening . . . who knows, I might win the quiz

Route Help
You route meisters out there. . . .looking for suggestions for a 45ish - give or take - mile route from Grant's Tomb to the Goswick Pavilion in Piermont for the All Class Club Ride August 7th. Want to leave Grant's Tomb at 9:00 AM - get to the Goswick Pavilion by 1:00PM in time to meet all the classes for lunch. I'll be leading an A19/20 ride. I want to lead the ride 'cuz i need more points for a jersey. Also, I like to be the ride leader because when I do lead - I don't get dropped. Unusally.
Got any ideas for routes?
Thanks,
Christy

Maybe he should sue for not having bike lessons available while they're at it.
Coffee too hot this morning again.
B19 the new B18?
Seeing a lot more B19 rides lately. Seems there is a real interest in faster, longer, hillier B rides.
I guess it really drives home the point that there's no such thing as a C, B, or A route/speed. Just a style and a speed. I'm looking forward to A12s and C20s!
Has anyone ever used Continental Grand Prix 4000sii REFLEX tires?
These have a reflective strip (hence the name reflex) on the side wall.
I'm wondering if this strip stays on? and if the reflective feature works to make your bike more visible to cars?
n.b.: On this particular thread I would prefer not to hear about Continental tires in general, or about using lights on your bike, or an expletive laden discourse on our 4 wheeled roadmates. Like the old SAT, their will be a penalty for guessing incorrectly.
thanks
the knot
Was looking up the ride library and playing around with designing a route. Anyone have a favorite way to do the knot that maximizes climbing? I tried a few variations but couldn't really get more than 1500 feet of climbing out of it.
cycling now permitted on Jones Beach boardwalk and walks all year
just respect peds. I enjoyed a morning ride during the July heat spell. the whole thing including a spin to Tobay (the next beach to the east) on a paved trail was about 12 miles. this did not include riding a path from Wantagh (I drove with Joan)
