Last minute ride listing for this Sunday - A20 Climbing to Peekskill
Posted late yesterday so not sure if it will be up in time. Here's the description below. Meet 8:30am at Grant's Tomb. Email me at ericdeuser AT gmail DOT com if you're interested and don't see the listing up yet.
---------------------------
The goal of this ride is to get in as much climbing as possible between the GWB and Peekskill, hopefully around 8,000'. We’ll hit familiar climbs through Rockland County and Harriman with an ascent up Perkins. If the legs are feeling good we can do a second repeat up Seven Lakes and Perkins from 9w. We’ll finish with well-deserved beers and burgers/wings at the Peekskill Brewery.
Expect the unexpected in the park

Kind of puts a crimp in rides out of Hoboken. The PATH connection was easy.
Friday, September 2 Ride to Litchfield County
I'll be riding up to Sharon, CT in Litchfield County, and not far from Dutchess or Berkshire Counties, on September 2, just before the start of the Labor Day Weekend.
The route is 90 miles, and I stay off Rt. 22, or any other busy roads.
Pace is B16-B18.
Would love some company. Options are 1) go part way, ride home, 2) go part/most of the way and take Metro North home, or 3) ride the whole way with me (!).
Email me if you have interest.

Minimum tire pressure
If you remember Clif Kranish, this may interest you.
In the early 1990s, or maybe going back to the late 1980s, Clif was the editor of the club's monthly printed newsletter and the club treasurer.
His brother, Mike Kranish, is an investigative reporter. In 2012, when he was working for the Boston Globe, he co-wrote "The Real Romney," the newsmaking and news-breaking book about Mittens. He now works for the Washington Post and his JUST published book about Donnie, "Trump Revealed," is THE BIG NEWS item of the day. He appeared on the oh, so serious Sunday morning TV talk shows and on NPR. How good is the book? Donnie said "Don't read it. It's boring." But, as we know from his having said he gets his information from TV, Donnie doesn't read.
