Thank you Ellen Jaffe and Colin Taber for organizing.  Thank you Dave Sabbarese for your excellent job as Master of Ceremonies.  And, thank you to all the talented NYCC member performers.  Wonderful night.

Over the years I discovered that several of my friends had died in MB--I'm not sure how I would have found out.

Change of subway service to Marathon ride

Submitted by AGarcia on Sun, 11/05/2023 - 4:53am

Those taking subway to start, take N train to transfer to R at 59th. Walk stairs to other side of tracks for R to 95th St. No R train at 36th St. station. Sorry for the sudden MTA changes. Alfredo

Look sharp tomorrow, if you're doing the pre-Marathon ride.

I'm not doing it this year, but there might be a NY Times reporter and photographer in the midst of this "unsanctioned" ride.

I don't really care who gets elected.

A-Rides Coordinator Best Candidate

Submitted by amyiwan on Tue, 10/31/2023 - 10:46am

Anna will be a great A-ride coordinator. We need a veteran cycling coach who is not only passionate about group safety but is also willing to collaborate with others.

After completing the A Classic SIG in 2011, she was selected to return as a leader. She also volunteered to lead rides and teach others on how to lead efficient and inclusive rides. She also co-authored of the A Classic SIG manual with Mitch Rubenstein, whom many of you know was the A Classic captain for more than a decade. This shows her ability to take feedback and work with others to create solutions and streamline processes.
