Visitor Looking for Recommendations!
Dear fellow Cyclists,
I will be visiting NCY June 7th-23rd and would really like to fit a ride in. I will not have a bike with me, so I am looking for recommendations for where I can rent a road bike. I can already see a number of rides I could join...the newcomers' one on Sat 9th being ideal - but not sure if I can sort a bike for 8:45am (unless anyone knows a shop open early?).
I'll be bringing all the rest of my kit with me, just need the bike and someone to ride with :-)
Regards,
Matthew Anthony

NYCCers in Gran Fondo: Did anyone from our racing team ride it? If so...
I know the GFNY is not bike racing; nevertheless, did anyone from the NYCC racing team ride it? (I eschew "compete.") If so, who and how did they do? I know of two club members in their 60s who rode it. Who else did and how did you do?
C-STS Ride #8 - East Egg West Egg - CANCELLED
Sorry, there is a significant threat of thunderstorms in early afternoon. We will reschedule in June or July.
BERKSHIRES WEEKEND CAR SHARE RIDE
I have rented a car, a sweet MINI Cooper Countryman, that can accomodate 3 bikes, includes mine and 3 passengers comfortably plus luggage. I would like to share the cost of the car rental, gas, etc., round trip from NYC to Sheffield. Estimate is $100 per person if we are 3, $75 if we are 4. Expect to leave on Friday around 2, and return on Monday...time to be determined.
Please contact me if you are interested or have any questions. Email, text or phone okay.

Thank you. Peter

Looking for my stolen bike
hi friends,
My bike got stolen last night (May 17) in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, locked and parked in plain sight of a crowded terrace (Bearded Lady, on the corner of Washington Ave and St. Marks) where I had ended a ride in the neighborhood. Because this bike is the love of my life, materially speaking, and because I think it is not a very common specimen in the US, I just post a picture, in case it's still around somewhere (doing a Gran Fondo? in a bike shop?).
