Cyclist down on the GWB on Saturday

With the change in weather and lower pedestrian traffic, please keep speeds on the GWB on the moderate side when crossing.

A rider was down on Saturday around noon time on the NJ side between the two fenced in areas. Don't know what caused the crash but the injured person was bleeding from his head and sitting up when the EMTs arrived with numerous other first responders.

Greenport weekend - big thank you!

Submitted by Sina on Sun, 10/20/2019 - 8:05pm

I just want to thank Malka, Neile and all the people (including Lori and Jacob - very volunteer SAG team), who made this fantastic weekend possible.

Greenport and Shelter Island were indeed gorgeous. The only 2 days weekend trip made it possible to do for most of us.

Wanted: Cyclists for Morning C Rides in Central Park

Submitted by JOlson on Thu, 10/17/2019 - 6:10pm

Would anybody be interested in early morning C rides in Central Park?

  • NOT a Club ride;
  • starting about 6:00 or 6:30 a.m.;
  • about equal to a C14 pace, a little more or less depending;
  • twice around the Park Drive, about 12 miles;
  • takes about an hour, plus however long it takes you to get to the Park;
  • preferably start from East 72nd Street entrance, but this is negotiable;
  • probably two to three times a week, depending on weather, personal preference, and everything else.

Good company, good conversation, and a GREAT way to start the day: everyone will envy your bright alertness when they are still staring into their morning coffee!

Please email me if interested.

MS100 NY - Any riders?

Submitted by Scott Kelsey on Mon, 10/14/2019 - 7:52pm

Curious if anyone is riding the MS100 this Sunday?   Specifically wondering about the 100 mile course - I'd love to find some friends to ride along with!

Thanks,

Scott
