I bought two tickets for the game tonight that unfortunately I cannot use. I'd like to get something for them but I'm willing to let them go at a loss. Section 520, Row 2, seats 19 and 20. $70 for pair OBO. Call me if interested.

Greenway around downtown and Battery Park Sunday status?

Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 09/10/2011 - 8:11pm

Not sure if there's information out there I didn't subscribe to. Is there any closure affecting the Greenway in and around the downtown area due to the 9/11 activity?

As fine an article on cycling in NYC as you'll ever read. It's in tomorrow's NYT

And, boy, do I (and will you) ever agree with Charlie Komanoff's comment near the end of the article.

Electronic version of the 2011 NYC Century Bike Tour

Submitted by mendelay on Fri, 09/09/2011 - 12:53pm

Does anyone know if the route will be available in electronic format - Google Maps, GPX, or the likes?

I am aware that their website states that they don't release the cue sheet until the morning of the ride, but I was wondering what my options are if I want to use my smartphone or a Garmin computer for the ride.

newly listed A-19 ride for saturday Mamaroneck Harbor

Submitted by JGalante on Fri, 09/09/2011 - 11:40am

Join Jim and Ed on the classic route to Mamaroneck Harbor. We'll use our best "A" riding skills for a smooth classy ride. We'll pick up lunch at the Italian deli and picnic by the harbor. Return via the Riccardi Bypass.

Escape from NY - A ride with team Siggis / NYVelocity

Submitted by TOrford on Fri, 09/09/2011 - 10:28am

For anyone interested in learning more about racing or just wanting to ride an A/20 pace for ENY, join up with the riders from the Siggis / NYVC team who will be out for the ride.  We’ll be meeting up around 6:45 in Sakura Park, keep an eye out for our blue and white kit (I’ll be riding a white Giant).  We’ll leave around 7 once the group is assembled.  If you’d like to learn more about the team (even just what our kit looks like so you can find us on the 24th), check out http://www.siggisracing.com/.  This will not be a hammer ride, just a group ride at an A pace.  We’ll stop for all mechanicals, etc.
