I just read confliciting information regarding the construction start date for the GW Bridge bike path.  I've heard 2014 and I read 2015 in a recent article from the NJ Bike & Walk Coalition. Does anyone know what the correct date is?

Anyone know what the conditions are like right now?  Last time I rode it over the summer it was "closed" to cars (although one or two passed us on the "closed" portion) and it was ridable, though with a few sections of enormous pot holes where you had to walk your bike.  Still ridable? 

Today is the three quarter century Birthday of a long time member, great wheel maker,excellent ride leader, so-so bike mechanic, great VP Programs, ex President, NYCC curmudgeon, superb jersey designer. . .you know who you are - HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Anyone know how to calculate the "maximum" speed one can ride around a bend with radius r?

I registered for LaVueltaPR and I'm in the process of getting together a training schedule.  Anyone else doing LaVuelta next year ? Would love to be part of your team! or Anyone that have done it before that can share some training tips.  I'm currently doing my longs rides on weekends and I could also use the company and support to get out on the saddle especially in the cold days ahead!
