Henry Hudson Drive, a/k/a River Road, is in the midst of patching all those scary minefields, thanks to the effort of the NY Grand Fondo organizers/sponsors!

Just to let you know, there is a Road Runner Race starting at 9am this Saturday. It's going to be very crowded on the park drive so be careful as you leave for your rides.

The race starts on East 68th st.

Huzzah to the NYCCers undertaking this brevet.  I have done the route and it's a lot of fun, and pretty! (I'm a volunteer for this event, and will see you at check-in.)

In response to our queries on behalf of those taking the LIRR to/from the Ronkonkoma start/finish - - Steve Yesko, RBA (regional brevet administrator) for the Long Island Randonneurs, has said that yes, you can drop a bag at the start and it will be held for you in his van and available again at the finish.

So a change of clothes, etc, will be fine. 

As a general reminder the bike.reg online registration is closed, but day-of is available (pls bring the $40 in exact bills).

-Bike Route 9 to Bear and back

-Bike Route 9 to StonyPoint deli returning via Buckberg Mtn /Gate/South Mountain Strawtown etc

-Clausland Tweed to Mainstreet returning via Piermont Road

What's a good additional route staying in Rockland County. I prefer including some decent climbs and would like to keep my rides under 100 miles.  Any ideas? RidewithGPS links appreciated.

We need someone to step forward to plan the rides out to West Point, rides for Saturday at West Point, and returning home on Sunday.  We have many cues and routes from prior years, so it should be a fairly straightforward task.  Kindly respond, if interested, to [email protected].
