B16 laps in Central Park - Tuesday, 3/14 - CANCELED
Forecast of blizzard and wind chill of 15 degrees.
UPDATE - Wednesday CP Snowshoeing is Now CP Walk
Not enough snow to snowshoe in the city. Instead, we'll get together for a few hours of walking in the northern Central Park area. Expect a rambling route dictated by shoveled/unshoveled park paths enroute to that planned lunch at the Boathouse.
Meet 9:00am at Cafe Amrita, 301 West 110th @CPW for a capuccino or latte. Leaving Amrita at 9:30am. We'll walk in cold, cloudy, snowshowery conditions. We intend to carry our ice/snow-capable footgear in case an adventurous impulse strikes. Questions? Email Ken or Marilyn. Revisit this post before leaving home Wednesday morning for any updates.

Question About the (Former) Market in Piermont
Does anyone know what will become of that space? And if a new mini-supermarket will replace it, when will it open?

B SIG Orientation is ON for today
B SIG orientation is ON for this morning.
As previously noted, we will not require anyone to ride the laps today if they feel they don't want to, but we
will offer that option for those who do. (We will have leaders ride the Prospect Park loop in the morning to make sure it is safe to do so. If they
say it's not safe, we'll cancel the laps for everyone.)
All night bike rides to cure depression?
Hear here: NYCCer Randy Cohen in conversation with sports writer Geo. Vecsey about cycling in the city. It's neat.
Randy is the creator of a lecture and podcast series, "Person, Place, Thing" in which he interviews an enormous range of highly accomplished people. His podcast with George Vecsey has just gone up. There's no time coding on it so scroll along it to c. 3/4 of the way to the end and hear it for yourself. http://personplacething.org/episode-161-george-vecsey/
This isn't a link. Just an illustration how far along in the interview is the discussion of biking in the city.
